Announcing the Strongarm MSP Partner Program
Small and midsized businesses are increasingly a hot target for cybercriminals. In fact, 43 percent of targeted cyberattacks are aimed at SMBs. The worst part? A full 60 percent of them go out of business within six months of a cyberattack.
Of course, one of the major challenges of being a managed service provider or value-added reseller is knowing what types of services to offer your clients and how much to charge them for those services. You want to both provide value for your clients and run a successful business.
A lot of IT providers avoid security (beyond firewalls and antivirus), because it can be complex and sometimes seems to require a lot of expertise. However, in today’s threat landscape, you can’t afford not to offer clients robust protection—and firewalls and antivirus won’t cut it.
That’s why we built our partner program, which we are officially unveiling today.
With the new Strongarm MSP Partner Program, IT providers of all sizes who were not able to offer their customers advanced security protections and incident response services based on the complexity and burden on their resources, can now protect their clients using Strongarm’s simple, automated, and affordable security offering.
How the Strongarm MSP Partner Program Works
The elements of the Strongarm MSP Partner Program include:
- Hands-on setup and deployment support from Strongarm’s security team
- Email support to assist in triaging and investigating potential infections or attacks
- Pre-sales support, including demos, trials, and proof-of-concept to facilitate sales
- Marketing and sales support to launch and sell the service
- White label option for MSPs via a customized “block page”
- Access to Strongarm Insights: a DNS reporting tool which shows popular URL requests and categories
Strongarm helps MSPs and resellers win new SMB clients by offering differentiated, high-value security services. All of our partners deal with “happy clickers” at their clients—those employees who, no matter how much training you provide, repeatedly click on malicious links. Strongarm protects the MSP’s clients from these errant clicks, and reduces time spent triaging and cleaning up after the event. Strongarm also helps the MSPs educate their customers about how to be more careful.
One of our partners is Fortify 24×7, whose Fortify Phishing Protection (FP2) is powered by Strongarm. According to Jeremy Murtishaw, CTO of Fortify 24×7, they had one SMB customer who had been hit by ransomware three times in the past 12 months. “We worked with the IT contact at the customer on a pilot and since implementing FP2 four months ago, we’ve caught 25 to 30 exploit attempts and the customer has been ransomware free,” he said.
It’s our goal to make it as easy and seamless as possible for partners to offer differentiated and high-value security services to their clients. To learn more about our partner program, visit Solutions for Managed Service Providers or email us at email@example.com.
