Introducing: Per-Network Content Filtering Policies
Back in August we released content filtering as a capability within Strongarm. Today, we are excited to announce the addition of a commonly requested improvement: per-network policies for content filtering.
If you protect many networks with Strongarm, each of those networks may have different content filtering requirements. Previously, if you wanted to block social media on one network, you had to block it on every network. With this new feature, Strongarm customers now have full control over the content filtering policies for each of their networks.
This also makes it easier to test content filtering out as you can block categories on a single network before blocking them across your entire organization.
Configure Your Policies
If you are already using content filtering with Strongarm, then your current blocked categories have been automatically configured as your “Default Policy” which is now applied to all networks. You can reconfigure these policies for each of your networks on the Policy Settings page. You can also create new policies and update existing ones.

Apply Your Policies
Once you’ve configured the policies you want, visit the Protected Networks Settings page to apply the policies to each network.
To change a network’s policy, click “Edit” for the network, select one of the policies you’ve created from the dropdown, and finally click “Update Network” to save your changes. It’s as simple as that!
